Cody Chooses To Finish His Story Against The Tribal Chief

Just a short few days ago everyone was fuming about how WWE pushed Cody Rhodes to drop the championship match to The Rock, and was not going to finish his story.

The WrestleMania XL Kick-off press conference however delivered a whole different story for everyone involved.

For almost a week now we have been getting used to the idea of The Rock challenging the The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns for the Universal title, and we were just waiting for Cody to confirm that he will be challenging Seth Rollins for the Heavyweight championship.

As predicted, The Rock did not get the all out love he always gets when he makes his return, for the first time in decades, The Rock was being booed.

The decision by Cody to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal title can mean only one thing, and yes it makes it the biggest main event in WrestleMania history, as it puts a triple threat match firmly in the picture….. The Rock vs Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns.

But before we even get to that gigantic match, we are seeing another storyline develop in the road to WrestleMania. We are seeing a possible feud between the temporary teams of The Rock & Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins leading up to the showcase of the immortals.

This possible massive tag team feud comes as The Rock slapped Cody Rhodes for talking trash about his family, which is automatically Romans’ family. Well Seth is basically pissed at both Reigns and Rock for “calling” the shots about what happens at WrestleMania.

There is however something we need to ask ourselves in this whole bundle of excitement that has been revived about WrestleMania XL. Where does this leave Seth Rollins and his title? Does this bring CM Punk into the Heavyweight championship picture at WrestleMania when he returns? Does this elevate Punk’s feud with Drew on the road to WrestleMania?
